What You Will Do:
- Create 3D CAD Models: Use SolidWorks to create basic 3D models of components, following design specifications provided by senior designers or engineers.
- Generate Technical Drawings: Assist in creating technical drawings and diagrams of parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet basic design standards.
- Update Engineering Documents: Help maintain and update engineering documents, including revisions, drawing numbers, and other related data.
- Assist with Bill of Materials (BOM): Help create and update BOMs by adding new parts or components for ongoing or new projects.
- Support Engineering Changes: Assist in implementing minor engineering changes by updating drawings, part numbers, and related documentation in company’s ERP system.
- Collaborate with Engineers: Work alongside design and manufacturing engineers, providing support in the development of new products or modifications to existing products.
- Learn Industry Standards: Familiarize yourself with relevant industry standards for design, quality, and safety, and apply them under the guidance of senior team members.
- Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.
The Critical Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
- Associate's degree (AA /AS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- At least 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with automotive suspension components preferred
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening) and ability to build rapport across teams
- Self-directed with strong execution, prioritization, and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Solidworks or equivalent CAD software
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and align with QA1’s values.
