Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually

Based at our state-of-the-art facility in Lakeville, Minnesota, you'll work closely with our Shock Assembly team to enhance manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement. What You Will Do:
- Process Development & Optimization: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure safe and efficient production. You will analyze workflows, space utilization, and equipment layout to enhance productivity, while establishing cycle time and set-up time estimates for various manufacturing processes.
- Equipment & Fixture Design: Design, create and put into action jigs, fixtures, and specialized equipment to support both new and existing products. You'll also lead initiatives to improve machine performance, troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and fixtures, and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Documentation & Standardization: Create and maintain work instructions and SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency across processes. You will also provide technical guidance and training to the operations team to ensure they follow best practices.
- Cost Reduction & Continuous Improvement: Drive efforts to identify unnecessary costs and research methods for cost reduction. Continuously improve processes through innovative solutions that help reduce production costs while enhancing operational efficiency.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for plant layout, equipment upgrades, and support the purchase and installation of new equipment to improve manufacturing processes.
- Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.
The Critical Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
- At least 2+ years’ experience in similar role with focus on product line optimization.
- Preferred experience: Hands-on experience with pneumatic/hydraulic systems, PLCs, and fabrication processes (i.e., welding, laser cutting, tube bending), and/or a background in shock absorbers, automotive suspension, or similar products.
- Positive attitude with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Hands-on troubleshoots experience with manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with custom automation equipment preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office product and SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and align with QA1’s values.
