This role provides general support to the Accounting/Finance Team. Carries out accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance as well as processing of company accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually
The Opportunity:
- Vouchers invoices into the enterprise resource planning system by matching the invoices with the purchase orders and receipts, or by obtaining appropriate authorizations and coding the items to correct general ledger accounts on non-purchase order related invoices.
- Enters international inventory receipts by matching commercial documents to purchase orders.
- Investigates and resolves non-matching purchase order receipts.
- Resolves invoicing and credit issues with vendors, including the processing of transactions and the documentation related to vendor returns.
- Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities and schedules and prepares vendor payments.
- Reviews employee expense reports and issues payments.
- Processes company credit card receipts and reconciles to the bank credit card statement.
- Processes customer order invoices.
- Processes customer order return credit memos.
- Apply customer payments to the corresponding receivable accounts.
- Follows up on the status of past due accounts receivable, researches and resolves discrepancies.
- Supports the customer credit application process.
- Assists with UPS/FedEx claim processing.
The Critical Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
- Two to four years related experience and/or training in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of accounting software, inventory software, internet software, Microsoft Office software, and order processing systems.
- Accurate and detail oriented.
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Above average math skills.
