All QA1 Spherical Bearings are designed to perform in challenging conditions.
Off-road applications are particularly demanding, as spherical bearings are subject to mechanical pressures, plus the corrosive combination of dirt, dust, debris, and water. We often work closely with OEMs to validate performance in these ultra-challenging conditions.
OEM SUCCESS STORY
We recently worked with a large off-road OEM to validate spherical bearing performance on a piece of heavy-duty, off-road equipment. We began by specifying the solution we knew would best fit the application (a heavy-duty spherical bearing, plus a custom housing). After that, we:
1. Quickly built prototypes
2. Installed them into field test equipment for a prescribed test period
3. Had them sent back to QA1 for disassembly and evaluation of function and wear
The good news?
Not only did these heavy-duty spherical bearings perform as expected, the prototypes displayed measurable wear well within the expected tolerances. The OEM promptly placed an order for the full production run.
