QA1 PRESIDENT & CEO MELISSA SCOLES ELECTED TO SEMA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

We are excited to announce that QA1 President and CEO, Melissa Scoles, has been elected to the SEMA Board of Directors. Members of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) recently voted on open seats in the 2024-2025 Board of Directors election, selecting Melissa for a Manufacturer’s seat, where she will represent the more than 7,000 SEMA member companies worldwide.

In her appointment, Melissa will join nine of her colleagues from within the automotive aftermarket industry as Directors, as well as four elected Officers, to help lead and shape the future of the association and its members.

“I’m thrilled about this opportunity to serve SEMA and its members, and to contribute to the automotive aftermarket in meaningful new ways,” Melissa says. “This industry has been an integral part of my family’s life, and I'm eager to help shape its future by tackling such challenges as changing regulations and the right to modify, while seeking out ways to cultivate and engage the next generation of automotive enthusiasts. I’m looking forward to working with others to ensure that SEMA continues to be a powerful voice for the entire automotive aftermarket and motorsports communities."

Throughout her career, Melissa has been committed to volunteering and giving back, both to the industry and her community, and her appointment to the board represents an even greater opportunity to utilize her experience to influence the future of the automotive aftermarket.

Melissa has previously volunteered in a number of capacities with SEMA, currently serving as the Immediate Past Chair for the Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC), while also leading education, career, and fundraising programs in QA1’s Lakeville, Minnesota community. She has likewise instilled a culture of service and stewardship of the industry at QA1, as members of the company’s team actively volunteer on the SEMA Future Leaders Network (FLN) Select Committee and with MPMC, as well as in other industries and within the local community.

Scoles will begin serving on the SEMA Board of Directors in July. She and the other newly elected Board Members will be celebrated at the SEMA Leaders & Legends Gala in Anaheim, California, on Friday, July 19.
