Upgrade your 1973–1987 Squarebody C10 with a front suspension system designed to dramatically improve handling, ride quality, and stance. This QA1 kit converts your truck’s front suspension to a modern coil-over setup, complete with a tubular crossmember and rack-and-pinion steering.
By replacing outdated factory components with a fully engineered system, this upgrade improves steering precision, suspension control, and overall drivability. Adjustable coil-overs allow you to dial in ride height for the perfect stance with up to 8 inches of drop, while also fine-tuning ride quality and performance to match your build.
The lightweight tubular design also reduces front-end weight by approximately 140 lbs. compared to stock, helping improve responsiveness and overall vehicle balance.

RACK & PINION STEERING
Powered rack and pinion steering offers quicker steering and a tighter feel. Plus, increase steering angle when fitting larger wheels and tires, and improve geometry for enhanced drivability.
INCREASED GROUND CLEARANCE
The factory crossmember and control arms on a C10 sit quite low to the ground. QA1's design raises these components, making the undercab frame rails the truck’s lowest point. To ensure ample shock travel at this lower height, QA1 designed new upper shock mounts that increase travel, delivering a great ride and performance, even at low heights.
DIAL IN COMFORT & PERFORMANCE
QA1 single adjustable coilovers deliver exceptional ride quality and performance for your Truck. With the simple turn of a dial, you can effortlessly switch between a comfortable cruise and a more aggressive feel, making them ideal for daily driving or twisty backroads. Accessing the 18-position knob is easy, and by turning the steering wheel to full lock, you can reach in and make your tuning adjustments at the base of the shock.
EASY, BOLT-IN INSTALLATION
The crossmember comes powder coated and ready to install. No need to cut or weld your frame. It easily locates the steering rack, and you can choose mounts (sold separately) for common engines.
MODULAR ENGINE MOUNTS
Choose from modular engine mounts (sold separately) that allow you to reuse your existing transmission mount and driveshaft. Kits are available for small block Chevy, big block chevy and LS applications. DIY mounts are also available if you want to customize the location of your engine.
BEST-IN-CLASS WARRANTY
QA1 Single Adjustable Shocks are eligible for a Limited Lifetime Warranty. For peace of mind, simply register your shocks at QA1.net/Warranty to ensure coverage for as long as you own your vehicle.
