The QA1 Level 2 Handling Kit for 1982-2003 Chevy S10 pickups delivers a balanced, full-vehicle suspension upgrade engineered to work together from front to rear. Designed for street performance enthusiasts, this kit improves handling response, steering feel, and ride quality while achieving a clean, lowered stance.

QA1 assembled this system as a complete solution. Every component was hand selected to complement the others, giving you predictable performance, proper geometry, and an easier path to a well-sorted truck.

PERFORMANCE & STANCE YOU CAN FEEL

Capable of a 2-4” drop up front and up to a 5” drop in the rear, this Level 2 kit delivers a clean, lowered stance. Up front, 18-way double adjustable QA1 coil-over shocks allow you to fine-tune ride quality while maintaining confident control through corners. Tubular upper and lower control arms improve suspension geometry and strength, helping the truck feel more planted and responsive on the street.

Forged drop spindles correct steering geometry at lowered ride heights, reducing bump steer and maintaining proper alignment throughout suspension travel. A QA1 fat front sway bar further improves handling control, delivering flatter cornering and improved stability during spirited driving.

Out back, lowering rear leaf springs were chosen for the right spring rate and unique reverse spring eye design. The front spring mount is optimized for improved anti-squat characteristics, giving you more control over how the truck plants power to the ground, especially when launching or cornering.

BOLT-IN CONVENIENCE, NO GUESSWORK

This QA1 Handling Kit is designed as a direct-fit, bolt-on solution for 1982–2003 S10 pickups. Components are selected and validated to work together, eliminating the trial-and-error.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ’s)

What is the best suspension upgrade for a 1982–2003 Chevy S10?

The best suspension upgrade depends on how the truck is driven. QA1’s suspension kit is ideal for street-driven S10s because it improves handling, ride quality, and stance as a complete system rather than addressing one area at a time.

Can I improve steering feel along with a suspension upgrade on my S10?

Yes. While a suspension upgrade improves stability, ride quality, and handling, steering feel plays a major role in overall driver confidence. Many S10 owners choose to pair QA1 handling kits with a Detroit Speed quick ratio steering box (P/N 090216DS) to further tighten on-center feel and reduce steering input. The quicker steering ratio delivers more immediate response and helps complete the transition from a stance-focused setup to a truly drive-ready street truck.

How do I lower my S10 without ruining ride quality?

Lowering an S10 the right way requires maintaining proper suspension and steering geometry. A complete suspension kit with matched shocks, control arms, spindles, and rear springs helps preserve ride comfort while achieving a lowered stance.

Does this suspension kit work with a V8-swapped S10?

Yes. This suspension kit works well with V8-swapped S10 builds. Depending on the engine and overall vehicle weight, a firmer front spring may be recommended compared to setups using the factory 4.3L V6 or 2.2L four-cylinder.

Will this S10 suspension kit fit a Chevy Blazer or GMC Jimmy?

While the S Series Pickups and Blazers/Jimmys share much of the same suspension architecture, these kits in their entirety are designed to work with Pickup Trucks only.
